Zipper Pocket: Lunch Money

This is where students put money for lunch or book orders.  Students will also store their Tutor Time pass for each nine weeks in there as well. 

Sheet Protectors:

Spelling/Word Wall

Class calendar/lunch calendar

There are 2 plastic sleeves which will hold Spelling lists, monthly word wall list, lunch calendar, and class calendar of events

Notebook Paper: Parent/Teacher Communication

This will be for notes between you and me.  Please stress to your children that this is only for your teacher and parents to write in.  I would also ask that you date any entries that you make.  I try to check it regularly, but occasionally we get busy and a note goes unread.  I will initial all notes that I read from you and ask that you do the same! That way we know our notes have been read, even when no response is necessary.

Red Folder: Important Papers

This section will contain any notes for parents to read or return.  If it is on the keep side, that is just for you information.  If it is on the return side, it needs to be signed and returned to school in the folder.

Yellow Folder: Homework

This section will contain any homework that your child needs to complete.  Please return it to school the following day.

Green Folder: Graded Papers

This folder will contain “Super Duper” work done by your child.  Please remove it nightly and discuss it with your child.  After you’ve “oooed and ahhhed” over it, you may keep them for display at home.  If you ever have any questions about the score or incorrect problems, please feel free to let me know.  I’m not perfect and also may make mistakes from time to time.

Back Cover: AR goals and points

In this cover, you will find a sheet with your child’s monthly AR goal and a mini calendar.  Each Friday, I try to document your child’s score on the calendar so you are aware of how your child is coming with his/her goal for the month.  There is also a master sheet with an overview of the AR program.  On the backside, I will record your child’s monthly points earned and total for the year. Please save this form.
